Made in Hawai’i Nei
After years of working towards this goal, we are proud to say; made in Hawai’i. Cheehoo!
Our products are made from locally sourced materials. We purchase bolts of fabric that are deadstock, seconds, vintage and/or found in our local fabric stores. We will try to highlight each source beneath each item for ultimate transparency.
When you purchase from us you can rest easy knowing our products are supporting families in Hawai’i that are paid a livable wage. This is a rare and extreme accomplishment here.
We strategically plan to release only a limited stock of each item. We sew up the exact amounts of items allotted for each bolt of fabric. There is very little waste created. Once an item is sold out, we’ll move on to the next bolt of found fabric. Each and every piece of Mai’åna is limited quantity and of the highest quality. Ethics at it finest.
Aloha, We are the Perry’s and the owners of Mai’åna; the brand as-well-as the neni girl it’s named after.
We are so stoked you are here. We are from Maui and Saipan (Mariana Islands) and have been working hard on creating an authentic and ethical brand you can feel comfortable supporting.
We’ve been in love since we were kids and raised in each others homes. Andrew works in the community saving lives and I (Joelle) have worked in fashion most my adult life, focused on sustainability and cultural continuation for the entirety of it. We have two beautiful children together.
We love our community and strive to serve it in all areas of our lives and this business is no exception. Mahalo nui loa for the support.
